1. I have heard that President Trump was angry with NFL players for not respecting America. Trump believes that everybody should stand for the US flag whether the want to or not.
2. NFL players should be allowed to decide whether they stand or not for the National Anthem. The US flag means something different for everybody, therefore, not everybody is going to agree on standing for the National Anthem. It does not show disrespect by not standing, it just isn't something they might not agree with. Would you force someone with different beliefs to do things your way because you believe in something different?
3. It is acceptable for the NFL players to stay in the locker room and not participate at all. This is because some NFL players may want more time to get in "The Zone" instead of doing something they might not agree with.
4. President Trump did not make the proper decision to go after this subject on his twitter feed. If he really wanted tot resolve it, he would've done a press conference with NFL players and coaches. That way, a compromise could be made and they could talk about the issue in person.
5. Race does not play any role in this topic because belief doesn't have to do with race in America. People are free to believe in whatever they want, no matter the race.
6. Colin Kaepernick in a brand new name to me, therefore I do not know anything about him. However, I would think he is someone who fights for what he believes isight, due to him starting this discussion topic.
